چکیده

Background he need of delimiting the bonding area on microshear bond strength (µSBS) test remains an unclear issue. In addition, there are different types tube to perform resin composite cylinders µSBS test. The aim this study was evaluate influence adhesive delimitation and type used build up specimens for testing systems, enamel dentin. Methods 120 bovine incisors were ground achieve flat buccal (n=60) dentin surfaces. Specimens each substrate randomly allocated into 6 groups (n=10) according system-a two-step self-etch (Clearfil SE Bond) a universal (Scotchbond Universal Adhesive) applied in etch-and-rinse modes– specimens: starch polyethylene. 4 (Filtek Z250) made surface; 2 them performed. subjected after 24 h water storage at 37°C. Data submitted three-way ANOVA Tukey’s post hoc tests (α=0.05). Results did not (p=0.349) nor (p=0.158). differently affected ranking adhesives both substrates. Conclusions does dentin, irrespective specimens. type’s impact depends dental system.

A Microshear Test to Measure the Bond Between Dental Composites and Dental Substrates.

Introduction: In order to determine the real efficacy and durability of polymeric dental adhesives, thorough clinical testing is necessary. However, in practice, long-term clinical testing is expensive and commercial adhesive materials are constantly undergoing change so that the clinical testing necessary to evaluate their long-term properties and success rates (typically four years) becomes i...

Bond Strength of Orthodontic Adhesives

The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare bond strength of four adhesives used in orthodontics for bonding brackets to tooth enamel. The adhesives used in this investigation were resin-reinforced glass-ionomer cement (Fuji Ortho LC-GC Corporation, Japan), light cured composite resin adhesives (ConTec LC-Dentaurum, Germany and Enlight Bonding system-Ormco, USA) and dual cured compo...

USAF Dental Evaluation & Consultation Service Grinding it Out: Do New Adhesives Bond to Uncut Enamel? (1/03) Microtensile bond strength of self-etching adhesives to ground and unground

This study tested the bond strength of three types of bonding agents to ground and unground enamel, and examined the specimens after testing to see where they had failed. Seventytwo bovine incisors were used in the research. Half of the teeth were assigned to the Ground Enamel Group and were prepared by grinding the facial to produce a flat surface for bonding. The other 32 teeth (the Unground ...
